Colleferro (Rome), October 17th, 2024 – AVIO values its people and holds their skills and daily contributions in the highest regard, especially in an industry at the forefront of technological advancement.

In recognition of this, the M10 and M60 methane and liquid oxygen engines will be renamed MR10 and MR60 in honour of Mikhail Rudnykh, as a tribute to the expertise and dedication he brought to these two projects, which have achieved significant success in the field. Avio tragically lost Mikhail a few months ago due to a sudden and aggressive illness.

"Mikhail Rudnykh was one of the most talented individuals in the field of liquid propulsion systems, possessing deep knowledge, immense courage, intuition, and an unwavering passion for his work. Avio will continue the development of the MR10 and MR60 engines to make our future rockets greener and more efficient, carrying forward Mikhail's legacy," commented Giulio Ranzo, CEO of Avio.
