Third 2019 Ariane 5 Flight Successfully Completed

Intelsat 39 and EDRS-C satellites orbited.

The third 2019 flight (105th mission overall) of the Ariane 5 launcher took place successfully during the night of the 6th of August from the Guyana Space Center (CSG) spaceport. The European launcher correctly orbited the Intelsat 39 and EDRS-C satellites, that will provide TV broadcast and in-orbit telecommunication services for LEO satellites respectively.

Colleferro, 06 April 2018 - Ariane 5 has successfully completed its second mission of 2018, correctly positioning two satellites in orbit: DSN-1/Superbird-8 and HYLAS 4.

DSN-1/Superbird 8 is a telecommunications satellite for Japanese operator SKY Perfect JSAT. Equipped with high-performance relay systems, the satellite will mainly provide telecommunication services for the Japanese market.

Colleferro, 30 September 2017 - Yet another successful mission for the Ariane 5 launcher, which has completed its fifth flight in 2017, positioning into orbit two satellites: Intelsat 37e and BSAT-4a.

Intelsat 37e is the fifth satellite in the Intelsat EpicNG constellation and is an evolution of the previous EpicNG satellites. It will deliver more efficient transmission services to mobile telephone and institutional customers situated on the American, African and European continents.

The mission lifted off from the European Space Centre in Kourou, French Guiana, at 6:39 pm local time, 10:39 pm CET.
