Colleferro, 14 April 2023 – The Ariane 5 rocket has successfully launched the JUICE probe of the European Space Agency from the Guiana Space Centre in French Guiana.
On Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 06:50 pm local time, an Ariane 5 launcher lifted off from the Guiana Space Center, Europe’s Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana (South America), successfully orbiting two geostationary telecommunication satellites, MEASAT-3d and GSAT-24.
The Ariane 5 heavy-lift launcher is an ESA program carried out in cooperation between public institutions and industry across 12 European partner states.
Avio is responsible for the P230 solid rocket boosters of the launcher.
Colleferro (Rome), 31st July 2021 – Ariane 5 successfully placed two geostationary telecommunication satellites, Star One D2 and EUTELSAT QUANTUM, correctly in orbit. Star One D2 is a high-capacity multi-mission satellite equipped with Ku, Ka, C and X-band transponders that will expand the broadband coverage to new regions of Central and South America, by providing Internet access to underserved populations.
During the night of the 15th of August the third successful launch of Ariane 5 took place from the French Guiana Space Center (CSG). The European launcher correctly placed into geo-stationary orbit the telecommunication satellites for B-SAT and Intelsat, plus a servicing payload for Northrop Grumman’s SpaceLogistics LLC.
The S2 and S3 segments (the metallic component is manufactured by MT Aerospace) once thermally protected (at Colleferro), are then shipped to French Guiana where they are each loaded with 107 tons of solid propellant by the Regulus company (joint venture 60% Avio and 40% Ariane Group). All the segments are then integrated by Europropulsion, a company equally shared by Avio and Ariane Group and assembled with the igniter and the nozzle by ASL.
JCSAT-17 and GEO-KOMPSAT-2B satellites correctly orbited
Intelsat 39 and EDRS-C satellites orbited.
The third 2019 flight (105th mission overall) of the Ariane 5 launcher took place successfully during the night of the 6th of August from the Guyana Space Center (CSG) spaceport. The European launcher correctly orbited the Intelsat 39 and EDRS-C satellites, that will provide TV broadcast and in-orbit telecommunication services for LEO satellites respectively.
ARIANE 5 LAUNCHES FIRST EUROPEAN MISSION TO MERCURY
Colleferro, October 20, 2018 – Ariane 5 has successfully completed its seventh mission of 2018, positioning the BepiColombo craft into orbit for its direct flight to Mercury, the smallest and least explored planet in our solar system. The mission is undertaken jointly by the Euopean Space Agency and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

4 GALILEO SATELLITES PUT INTO ORBIT
Colleferro, July 25, 2018 - Ariane 5 successfully undertakes its third mission of 2018, correctly positioning in orbit four satellites for Europe’s Galileo project.
Galileo is a European satellite navigation and localization system, designed for civil use and capable of providing highly precise positioning indications. Once in orbit the entire Galileo constellation will comprise 24 operative satellites.
