RESPONSIBLE SPACE FOR SUSTAINABILITY: AVIO AT IAC MILAN 2024

Colleferro (Rome), October 11th 2024 – AVIO is Silver Sponsor at the International Astronautical Congress 2024 which will be in Milan from 14 to 18 October. We as a company have a full commitment in this year Congress motto: “Responsible Space for Sustainability”. Sustainability in space through the adoption of European best practice to mitigate the space debris risk in orbit. Sustainability from space contributing to launch satellites for the European program for Earth Observation “Copernicus”, as we did with three Vega dedicated missions for Sentinel 2A, 2B and 2C satellites and with the upcoming return-to-flight of Vega C, which hosts the Sentinel 1C satellite as payload. Sustainability to space developing new greener engines that will use liquid Methane and liquid Oxygen for propulsion. 

Visitors, media representatives, space industry representatives and institutional figures will find at our booth – MC09 - an immersive 3D experience of a Vega C launch, with all the detailed phases. Moreover, they will find a 3D printed model of our Methalox engine M10 that will equip the upper stage of our future launcher Vega E.
