Successful completion of Space Rider AOM Mechanical Qualification campaign
After two intensive months of testing at ESTEC facilities in the Netherlands, Space Rider AOM's UCMEC campaign has been successfully concluded, sanctioning the mechanical qualification of the AOM (Avum Orbital Module) to the vibration, acoustic and shock environments induced by the launch system.
In the coming weeks, the structure will return to Colleferro where preparation operations will start for the integration of the flight subsystems, which will be performed in the AVIO's premises.
Mechanical qualification of AOM was the first key step in the sequence of system tests that will lead to SR flight.
The next goal is the qualification of the AOM Avionics architecture through ongoing testing at AVIO's Colleferro laboratory.
This result was achieved thanks to the excellent work of the Avio team in coordination with the ESA Estec one.
